X-Management System

Interconnected XMS measeurement stations
XMS measurement station
XMS programming device
XMS programmer tool

Function Description

The XMS monitores, for example, soldering carriers used in the soldering process.

The individual carriers are programmed via transponders with the associated type designation / model number and serial number. The shock- and water-tight enclosed transponder accompany the carrier throughout the entire life cycle. The transponder body is either bolted to the outer frame or on the mask.

The communication of XMS is carried out via measurement stations on the soldering machines, washing stations and inspection points. The measurement stations are directly connected to the machine's PC via a serial interface. The software is supplied to the system associated with the delivery of the first measurement station. This allows you to query the location of individual devices - even via a database. Of course, the basic equipment is expandable, eg on inventory measurement stations.

The expansion of the XMS to frame specific coding of soldering (TCS) is available for common soldering machine manufacturers. A binary or bar-coding can be omitted. Since the soldering program coding is done on the mask and not, as yet on the outer frame, a clear division of the mask and soldering program is always guaranteed. The program call is done via the programmed type number of the transponder, which is a separate pulse directly connected with the machine control measurement box. The soldering machine must be equipped with a connection for a barcode reader.

The XMS provides online opportunities:
  • The total runs of the carrier can be captured by the machine
  • Individual care programs - type-specific - regarding wash cycles and inspection cycles
  • Stock query
  • Single carrier can be locked for the machine run

Throughput limits are visually displayed on the screen. Optionally, a stop function or signal light can be triggered automatically. All entries on the PC are password protected. XMS can be used for networks, so that the carrier can be used at any time on different machines without the recognition is countered. Measurement data are locally available on the network.

The communication of XMS is carried out via measurement stations on the soldering machines, washing stations and inspection points or storage racks. The measurements stations are directly connected to the machine's PC via a serial interface. The software is supplied to the system associated with the delivery of the first measurment station. This provides the ability to query the location of individual devices - even through the database. Of course, the basic equipment is expandable, eg on Lagererfassstationen.

As mentioned above, the software was modified to enable data export to Excel format. This enables you for example, to record a carrier inlet and outlet time to ensure that the exact time loop was observed for the passage of a frame system. Cross-linking of the washing and inspection boxes via an existing LAN cable connection to a network is possible. A separate installation of LAN cables between XMS-Box on the soldering and washing inspection boxes can be eliminated.
